Senior Pastor Cheryl E. Powell

A woman of faith and prayer, Pastor Cheryl E. Powell is a rising voice in her generation and the Body of Christ at large.  The daughter of a well-known Florida revivalists and pastors, the late Overseer Willie & the late Delores B. Powell.  A native and reared in the Pahokee, Florida under her parent’s spiritual tutelage, and served in several capacities at their local church—Pentecostal Miracle Revival Center.  It is this rich beginning that instilled in her a deep level of faith in God, the miraculous and the power of prayer.

Graced with a keen prophetic anointing, Pastor Cheryl passionately delivers the Word of God with clarity for life application.  Her desire it to see the Body of Christ come into spiritual maturity and boldly demonstrate a Kingdom-minded life in the earth.

In 2008, the Lord impressed upon Pastor Cheryl’s a vision to gather and disciple people for the glory of God, thus birthed Kingdom Builders Worship Center (KBWC) in Pompano Beach, Florida. A non-denominational ministry, KBWC’s main focus is to build people, who in turn in will build the Kingdom.  It is the KBWC motto:  “We Learn.  We Live.  We Grow.”

In addition to her wealth of ministry experience, Pastor Cheryl is no stranger to secular employment.  Prior to beginning full-time ministry, she was employed as an Enrichment Coordinator for the Beacon Center (Rivera Beach, Florida) and as a Mental Health Technician at the Sandy Pines Residential Hospital (Jupiter, Florida).  These experiences allowed Pastor Cheryl to channel her passion for leadership and youth development into effective youth programs.

Pastor Cheryl began her post-secondary studies at Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she received vocational training in church administration.  As a student of the Word, Pastor Cheryl has continued her studies at Galilee Ministries Chaplaincy & Pastoral University.  Currently she attains her credential as a National recognized Chaplain and has earned a PhD Christian Education in July 2017.
